Provided “as is”

Both the free editions and the Pro add-ons are distributed under the GPL-2.0-or-later licence and are provided as is, without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The full warranty disclaimer in the GPL applies.

No liability for damages

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sean White and contributors to Seanos AI accept no responsibility for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, this software. This includes (but is not limited to) data loss, downtime, lost revenue, broken sites, corrupted databases, accidentally published content, mis-applied configuration changes, or any other consequence of running the agent or any of its tools.

Use of Seanos AI is entirely at your own risk.

AI output is not authoritative

Seanos AI is an autonomous agent powered by large language models from third-party providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, GitHub Models, Ollama, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint you configure). LLMs can hallucinate, make mistakes, and misinterpret instructions. Any answer the agent gives, any SQL it proposes, any file it offers to edit, and any extension it offers to scaffold should be reviewed by a human before being approved.

Strict approval mode is enabled by default for exactly this reason — every write tool pauses for explicit operator sign-off. Disabling that safety check (“trusted mode”) is an explicit decision you take at your own risk.

Your responsibilities

As the operator of a site running Seanos AI, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining your own backups before letting the agent make changes.
• Reviewing and approving every write-tool call in strict mode.
• The behaviour, output, and side effects of any prompt you run, regardless of which provider answers it.
• Compliance with your own jurisdiction’s data protection rules when sending site content to a third-party LLM provider.
• The security of the API keys you configure, the credentials of any users you let access the chat, and the capability / ACL gating you put around the tools.

Third-party providers

Seanos AI is a client; it does not host any LLM itself. The actual model inference happens on whichever provider you enable, under that provider’s own terms of service and data-handling policy. We have no control over those terms and accept no responsibility for any data they retain, log, or use for training. Review each provider’s policy before sending production content through it.

No professional advice

Output from the agent — including any text it generates, code it writes, or recommendations it makes — is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. If a decision matters, get a qualified human to review it.
